How do I set up an account as a space product/service user/customer?You can start creating your account by selecting the Sign Up option on the top right corner of our home page. You will need to complete the required information including your business contact information and profile photo (optional but recommended).

Can I set up an account using my personal email address and contact information?Caylan Space platform is built for the space industry, commercial companies, government agencies, research institutions, and academia to conduct space related business. Personal email and personal address cannot be used to open an account on this platform.

Can I set up an account if I’m an international company or agency outside the US?Yes, Caylan Space platform is available to global space users and customers including commercial, government, non-profit and academia. Only entities operating out of or associated with US list of embargoed and sanctioned countries are NOT allowed to join Caylan Space platform.

Is there a cost for joining Caylan Space platform?No. Customers can join the platform at no cost.

How do I search for products or services?Once your account is created, you can select the Marketplace option from the Menu and see the full listing of products and service offerings available on our platform. You can filter the product selection based on the available categories on our platform. You can also view the company details for each of the products in the Marketplace section. Please note we are adding companies and products on an ongoing basis. If you are not able to find what you are looking for, please get in touch with us directly so we can help you.

How do I reach out to companies to discuss my product or service needs?By selecting the Submit Requirements option in the main Menu, you can select the Category (and Sub-Category if applicable) of interest. Each Category has a detailed requirements questionnaire that can be filled out and submitted for follow-up with the selected category vendors. You can also upload documents such as Concept of Operations or other relevant documents to share with the vendors. Vendors can review your submitted requirements through the platform. Vendors can either accept or decline customer inquiries. If a vendor accepts your inquiry, you can directly open a chat session with the vendor for next steps and follow-ups. You can submit your requirements to one or multiple vendors for review. This allows you to contact multiple vendors and select the best solution for your requirements. Caylan Space can also help you with your requirements gathering and analysis. Feel free to reach out to us if we can provide any assistance.

How do I track my submitted questionnaires?You can track your vendor requests from the Product Request Status option on the Menu. Once selected, you can view Submitted Requests, Confirmed Requests and Past/Cancelled Requests. Vendors can review your requirements, accept your inquiry, and follow up with you directly to discuss the next steps, or decline the request if they can’t meet your requirements.

I’m in the early stages of product or service exploration and don’t have all the data to submit a requirements questionnaire. How can you help me?If you are in the early exploration stage and not ready to submit your detailed requirements questionnaire, you can continue your research of the products and companies that are currently on the platform to see their offerings and learn about their capabilities. Please note that as our platform is new, we are adding products and vendors on an ongoing basis so continue checking. Our team of experienced space professionals can also help you with your research for all the listed categories. Feel free to reach out to us directly for help with your product or service exploration and requirement solicitation.

Can payments and financial transactions be made on this platform?Yes. We are adding capabilities to allow certain financial transactions to be made between Vendors, Customers and Caylan Space. As we have a wide range of product and service categories on our platform with a wide range of costs and timelines, we offer flexible options for our vendors and customers. For example, transactions for placing advertisements, product down payments or reservations can be made directly on our platform. We offer Credit Card or Wire Transfer payment options through the platform. We expect more complex financial transactions to be made through contracts offline between Vendors and Customers (and Caylan Space as applicable). For such cases, the offline contract option can be selected between the Customer and Vendor. As our platform grows with the space ecosystem, we will work with our customers, vendors, and partners to offer additional capabilities to transform the space e-commerce over time.

What other services Caylan Space offers to customers?Our team of space professionals and business partners can help you with every stage of your mission design, product or service needs. From requirements solicitation to mission design, design reviews and assessments to mission operations training and readiness, launch vehicle selection and mission operations as a service offering. We offer professional services and consultation to help you with finding the best solution for your mission needs.

How do I set up an account as a product and/or service vendor?You can start creating your account by selecting the “Sign Up” option on the top right corner of our home page. You will need to first complete the sign up by creating your vendor account password. This step requires entering the name of the person that the account should be created under, their business email, phone number and profile picture (optional but recommended). Product and/or service providers should continue to the next step to Register as a Vendor. Next step requires selection of the category of product or service you want to add and showcase on the platform. Vendors can select multiple product or service categories based on their product and service offerings. Next step requires entering business information and uploading your business profile picture such as company logo and business brochure to describe your company and product offering(s) to customers. Company information will show up in Marketplace once you add your product(s) (see adding product question below).

Can startups join the platform and share their product offerings?Yes. As the space ecosystem is growing globally, we expect our platform to become one of the best options for global space startups to showcase their product offerings and capabilities. Please make sure to state the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of your product offering when you add your product information to the platform, so customers are aware of your TRL status.

How do I add my products/services to my account?From the Menu select Manage Products & Services option, then select Add Product option to start adding your product and/or service information. You can add multiple products or services based on your offerings. You can also upload multiple product documents, images or product spec sheet, user manual based on the selected product or service categories. Once your products are added, they will be visible in the Marketplace.

As a product or service provider, can I also search and purchase products and/or services on the Caylan Space platform?Yes, product and service providers can also search, complete product or service questionnaires and purchase products or services on this platform. Similar to customers, vendors can use the Submit Requirements option and Submit Your Product/Service Requirements for a selected Category (and sub-category if applicable) to start the product or service exploration with other product and service vendors.

How do I track customer requests and orders?Vendors can view their customer requests and order status from the Manage Orders option. Once selected, the status of New Order Requests, Confirmed Requests and Past/Cancelled Requests can be tracked and monitored. The Dashboard option also allows vendors to track Product/Service Orders, Product Request Status, and Manage Ads features. Once you receive a customer requirements questionnaire(s), you get a chance to review the requirements and respond to the customers by either accepting or declining the request. If you accept a customer inquiry, you can start a direct chat session with the customer.

How do I create advertisements on the platform?Creating your company and product advertisement is simple and can be initiated by your company account holder. The Manage Ads option allows you to Create Advertisement on the platform. Once an advertisement is created, payment option is selected and advertisement request is reviewed and approved by Caylan Space, vendors can view and manage their advertisements in Manage Ads section of the Menu. There are three options for placing advertisements on the platform. Advertisements can be placed on the Landing Page, Marketplace or both places for a user selected duration period. Advertisement cost is calculated based on your selected option and duration. Please note that the advertising capability will be available in Q2 2025.

Does Caylan Space charge vendors when a product or service is sold to customers?Yes. By providing our platform and facilitating product or service sales between vendors and customers, Caylan Space charges commission fees when a financial transaction is done between vendors and customers. As we host a wide range of product and service categories on our platform, the fees charged will be negotiated ahead of time between Caylan Space and vendors for each specific category.
